Red Roof on Islesford, Maine

Red Roof is a simple summer cottage on the north shore of Little Cranberry Island, also known as Islesford. Offering expansive views of the hills of Acadia National Park and  the Cranberry Isles, Red Roof  is the perfect place for an almost-off-the-grid escape.  It's peaceful, the tempo of island life is slow, and the tides of Frenchman Bay ebb and rise outside your window.

Kids can climb the rocky shore and explore tide pools as you watch from the picture window or open deck. Read or doze on the living room couch as the sun fills the large main room with warmth and light on summer afternoons.

Beal and Bunker Ferry Service  provides daily mailboat service from Northeast Harbor and offers private ferry service by special arrangement. Cranberry Cove Ferry departs from Southwest Harbor.  See Information section for details.
